How to reach us
Located on the southeastern tip of Nootka Island,
Friendly Cove can be reached only by boat or by aircraft.

For local Service
The
Uchuck III,
a converted minesweeper, makes regular runs to
Friendly Cove during the summer. A water taxi
service,
Maxi's Water Taxi is also available
from
Gold River to Friendly
Cove. If you would like to fly,
Air
Nootka, our local float plane service,
has charters available.

BY LAND & SEA
Most visitors arrive on Vancouver Island
by ferry. From Vancouver,
ferry trips run about an hour and a half, and YES you can make a
reservation! Depart from either the Tsawwassen Terminal
Vancouver) to
Duke Point (Nanaimo) or from Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) to
Departure Bay
(Nanaimo).
Once on the Island head north on Highway 19 which takes you
directly
to Campbell River. From there head west onHwy. 28 which meanders
along
lake and mountain sides. This is considered one of the most
spectacular
drives on Vancouver Island.
